About BidBreak
Built in a millwork shop,
not a software office.
BidBreak is made by contractors who bid real work every week. It does the first pass of the estimate so you can spend your time checking scope and pricing, not counting from the drawings.
Why we built it
I’m John Tucker. I run Rise Projects, a millwork and contracting shop in Massachusetts. I’m a licensed general contractor with a Construction Supervisor License, and I’ve bid and built across most of the trades.
Every bid starts the same way: a stack of drawings, hours of takeoffs, and a deadline — often before you even know if the job is worth chasing. Most estimating software still makes you build the takeoff yourself. It organizes the work; it doesn’t do it.
So we built BidBreak to do that first pass. Upload the drawing set, pick your trade, and get a full line-item estimate with scope, clarifications, exclusions and RFIs — ready to send as-is or edit. You stay in control of every number.
We use BidBreak on Rise Projects’ own bids, and every change gets checked against real jobs before it goes live. If something looks off on yours, tell me. That’s how it gets better.
